Our story
Two cooks, one small kitchen, and the food we grew up with

Cozy Restaurant opened its doors in 2023. We are a couple who met over a stove — one of us grew up folding momo in Kathmandu, the other learned the slow art of Indian gravies from a grandmother who never wrote a recipe down.
When we settled in Torres Vedras we noticed something missing: a warm, unfussy place where a plate of dal bhat, a tandoori grill and a good glass of wine could sit on the same table. So we built it ourselves, one dish at a time.
Today the menu moves between Indian classics, Nepali home cooking and a handful of fusion plates that only make sense here — Portuguese bacalhau in the tandoor, chouriço momo, pastéis perfumed with cardamom.
Cooked to order
Nothing sits under a lamp. Every curry is finished when you order it, every naan pulled fresh from the tandoor.
Spices from scratch
Whole spices are toasted and ground in our kitchen each week — the masalas are ours, not from a jar.
A family table
We know most of our guests by name. Tell us about allergies, spice levels or celebrations and we will look after you.
